Courtesy Visit from TJU Rector Prof. Dr. YILBAS to HONDA Taro, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs

On May 24, a courtesy visit was made to Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Taro HONDA, by Mr. Bekir Sami YILBAS, the Rector of the Turkish-Japanese Science and Technology University (TJU), and the content of the visit as below.

1. Mr. HONDA Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, welcomed Rector YILBAS's visit to Japan and congratulated him on the occasion of his appointment in November last year.  He also wished that TJU would be a symbol of bilateral friendship between Japan and Turkey.

2. In response to this, Rector YILBAS conveyed his thanks to HONDA and stated that they would like to continue their cooperation with Japan for the opening of TJU.

3. They aim to open TJU in 2023, the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Türkiye, and both sides agreed on cooperation.
