TJU AWARENESS DAY

Turkish-Japanese Science and Technology University (TJU) held an Awareness Day Program on 26 October.

Opening speeches were delivered by Prof. Dr. Mustafa ŞENTOP, Former Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Prof. Dr. Ahmet YOZGATLIGİL, Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Türkiye, Mr. Yoichi FUKAZAWA,  Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, Prof. Dr. İsmail DEMİR, Chair of the TJU Council, Ambassador Kiyoshi ARAKİ, Vice-Chair of the TJU Council, and Prof. Dr. Bekir Sami YILBAŞ, Rector of TJU.

Rectors of some universities in Türkiye, Turkish and Japanese Faculty Members, Ambassador of Japan to Ankara Mr. KATSUMATA Takahiko, Consul General of Japan in Istanbul Mr. KASAHARA Kenichi,  Mr. TANAKA Yuko, Head of JICA Turkey Office, Mayor of Pendik Municipality, Mr. Ahmet CİN, Mayor of Tuzla Municipality Mr. Şadi YAZICI, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Teknopark, Mr. Metin YEREBAKAN, and other protocol members attended the program. In addition, a video message from the 2001 Nobel Laureate Japanese Scientist and TJU Council Member Prof. Dr. Ryoji NOYORİ was broadcast in the program.

Prof. İbrahim DİNÇER delivered a speech titled "Energy Transition: Challenges and Opportunities" as part of the TJU Awareness Day Program. After his speech, TJU Council Chair Prof. Dr. İsmail DEMİR presented him with a plaque.

Prof. Koichi KUSUNOKI delivered a speech titled "Tackling against the earthquake disaster together" as part of the TJU Awareness Day Program. After his speech, TJU Council Vice-Chair Ambassador Kiyoshi ARAKI presented him with a plaque.

We would like to express our gratitude to Mr. Şadi YAZICI, Mayor of Tuzla Municipality, Mr. Ahmet CİN, Mayor of Pendik Municipality, Teknopark Istanbul, Embassy of Tokyo, Embassy of Japan, Consulate General of Japan, JICA Office, ITO Marmara Anatolian Imam Hatip High School students who made every effort and supported the Turkish-Japanese Science and Technology University Awareness Day Program during the preparation process and throughout the program.
