IT SYSTEMS RESPONSIBLE
Turkish-Japanese Science and Technology University (TJU) is a government university located in Pendik, Istanbul based on the agreement signed between Turkish and Japanese Governments. Within the framework of the agreement between the two governments; we aim to establish advanced scientific research and education while focusing on graduate programs and integrating with international platforms.
We are looking for an IT Systems Responsible to join our Information Technology Department, with the following qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduated from relevant departments of universities (Computer Science/ Engineering etc.),
- At least 3-5 years of system administration experience,
- Experienced in Windows server systems,
- Advance Knowledge in network management (LAN, WAN, VPN, Firewall, Wi-Fi) and cybersecurity,
- Familiar with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud systems,
- Proficient in Active Directory, Office 365, and email server management,
- Experienced in backup and recovery operations,
- Having strong knowledge of information security, data storage, data protection, and disaster recovery with hands-on experience in enterprise systems,
- Advanced spoken and written English skills,
- Preferably experienced in Electronic Document Management Systems (EBYS),
- Preferably experienced in a university or educational institution with a similar role,
- Knowledgeable in information security standards (ISO 27001, KVKK, etc.),
- Proficient in programming or scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, etc.),
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking ability,
- Team player with excellent communication skills,
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Managing and improving the University's IT infrastructure,
- Installing, maintaining, and managing server, network, and security systems,
- Ensuring the data backup, disaster recovery plans, and cybersecurity measures,
- Providing technical support to users and managing troubleshooting processes,
- Analyzing software and hardware needs and implementing appropriate solutions,
- Monitoring system performance and implementing continuous improvements,
- Developing and enforcing IT security policies,
- Overseeing the daily operation of High-Performance Computing (HPC) systems to ensure uninterrupted functionality,
- Identifying and reporting HPC system failures and performing necessary interventions,
- Troubleshooting hardware, software, and system issues,
- Communicating with hardware and software vendors for maintenance and warranty services,
- Managing data center monitoring and administration, including licenses, maintenance contracts, and warranty tracking,
- Collecting usage statistics, preparing monthly reports, and planning HPC system expansions,
- Identifying, optimizing, and resolving capacity issues
- Preparing technical and operational documentation for systems and services
