ABOUT
Our university is a state university established in accordance with the agreement between the Government of the Republic of Türkiye and the Government of Japan on the establishment of the Turkish-Japanese Science and Technology University (TJU) in the Republic of Türkiye. The agreement signed on June 30, 2016, was approved by the law dated 19/8/2016 and numbered 6742 and was approved by the decision of the Council of Ministers dated 19/9/2016 and numbered 2016/9163. On June 18, 2017, Law No. 7034 was issued based on the agreement on the establishment of our university.
The land allocated to the Turkish-Japanese Science and Technology University, which will be established on an area of approximately 306.585 m2, will be located between Teknopark Istanbul and Sabiha Gokcen Airport within a usage area of 1.549.047.51 m2. Learning environments will be a symbol of Turkish-Japanese cultures as well as science and technology with large living spaces.
Within the framework of the agreement signed between the two governments, we aim to encourage scientific and technological cooperation, initially focusing on the postgraduate education level, focusing on scientific research, and integrating with international platforms. In the following years, our university aims to be among the best institutions with international standards in undergraduate education, to become a worldwide university with distinguished scientists and researchers, and to realize education in a sustainable, technology-oriented way in line with the slogan "Everywhere is a space for research and learning."
