Message from the Rector of the Turkish-Japanese University of Science and Technology
The Turkish-Japanese Science and Technology University, established within the framework of Türkiye and Japan’s longstanding scientific and cultural collaboration, aims not only to serve as a bridge between the two countries but also to contribute to scientific and technological advancements on a global scale. With a vision to push the boundaries of knowledge and innovation, the university is dedicated to nurturing the scientists and leaders of the future.
Although we have not yet commenced our educational and academic activities, we are steadfastly advancing in building a solid foundation aligned with our goals and values. Our university aspires to provide an international-standard research and education environment. To this end, we are working diligently to establish cutting-edge technological infrastructure, assemble a qualified academic staff, and attract the best students to our institution. Our goal is to create an environment that enables our students and researchers to maximize their potential.
The university seeks to foster interdisciplinary collaborations, bringing together diverse perspectives to push the limits of scientific discovery. In this direction, we plan to undertake projects that focus not only on scientific excellence but also on societal benefit. By combining the strong academic legacies of Türkiye and Japan, we aim to carry out exemplary collaborative efforts in our region and globally. Furthermore, partnerships with the private sector, research institutions, and international organizations will be among our priorities to expand the global influence of our university and enhance knowledge sharing.
The Turkish-Japanese Science and Technology University will place great emphasis on fostering strong relationships between faculty members and students, ensuring that these connections are reflected in collaborative research projects. Academic freedom will be one of the most crucial elements in realizing the university’s vision of creativity, innovation, and scientific excellence.
One of the university’s core values is to establish a community grounded in diversity and inclusivity.
