GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Turkish-Japanese Science and Technology University is a government university established in Pendik, Istanbul with the agreement signed between Turkiye and Japan. Within the framework of the agreement signed between the two governments; TJU aims to promote scientific and technological cooperation, to focus on scientific research, initially focusing on graduate level education, and to integrate with international platforms. 

We are looking for an "Internal Audit Specialist" to be assigned to the Financial Affairs Unit of our University with the following qualifications:

  • Preferably graduated from the Departments of Economics and Administrative Sciences of Universities, 
  • At least 5 years of experience in internal audit standards, techniques, process and financial audits,
  • CIA or COSO certificates,
  • Knowledge in audit procedures and practices,
  • Good command of reporting methods, advanced planning and organization skills, teamwork-oriented,
  • Ability to use MS Office programs effectively and developed the ability to make presentations to the public,
  • Analytical thinking, questioning, presentation skills, solution-oriented and attentive to details,
  • Strategic perspective, strong analytical thinking and process analysis skills,
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, 
  • Completed military service for male candidates,
  • Good command of English,

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Prepare an Annual Audit Plan and to carry out audit activities accordingly,
  • Assess the University's activities in terms of operational, financial and compliance risks,
  • Identify risk-prone areas by establishing and controlling the University's internal audit system,
  • Organising audit work papers by performing audit work and audit tests,
  • Preparing and reporting audit findings in a clear, simple, and understandable manner,
  • Making recommendations for improvement to address identified deficiencies,
  • To follow the best practices in the sector and developments related to professional issues within the continuous development program,
  • Assist in the implementation of audit procedures with the Supervisory Board established according to the second paragraph of Article 7 of Law No. 7034 on the Establishment of the Turkish-Japanese Science and Technology University.

International Student And Teacher Advisor (International Officer)

We are looking for INTERNATIONAL STUDENT AND ACADEMIC ADVISOR/INTERNATIONAL OFFICER colleagues to work at the Teknopark Istanbul Campus of the Turkish-Japanese Science and Technology University.

QUALIFICATIONS

Responsible for providing necessary services in non-academic areas of student and teacher life such as orientation, immigration advice, university counselling, legal advice, medical assistance, personal counselling, housing and social activities, and performing any other duties deemed necessary or assigned by the manager and other departments. At the same time, it will be responsible for meeting with the necessary units in cooperation with other universities.

  • Graduated from related departments of universities,
  • Proficient in English,
  • At least 2-3 experienced in the field,
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
  • Having good organizational skills,
  • Embraces team work,
  • Able to use computer programs well,
  • Preferably working experience in university,
  • Preferably residing in or near Pendik/Kurtköy region,

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Providing advice and assistance to students and lecturers on immigration matters.
  • Assisting students and lecturers with health insurance claims. Keeping accurate records and communicating with the insurance company.
  • Retain information and act as a reference source for students/lecturers, including but not limited to the following areas: banks, post offices, district transportation, travel agents, car rental agencies, leisure facilities, social services, campus resources, and international student organizations.
  • Assisting students/ lecturers with accommodation.
  • To perform other duties as required or assigned by the manager.

We are looking for an "Administrative Affairs / International Office Personnel" who speaks Japanese and English to be assigned to the Rectorate Office Unit of our University with the following qualifications:

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Preferably graduates from related departments of universities,
  • Advanced level of English and Japanese,
  • At least 3 to 5 years' experience in a similar position,
  • Strong communication skills, inclined to teamwork,
  • Work tracking and planning skills,
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office programs,
  • Attention to detail, results-oriented,

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • To support the University's communication process with Japanese stakeholders,
  • Support the communication process with foreign guests,
  • To work in coordination with the University administration, faculties, institutes and academic departments for the procedures of academic staff and students coming from abroad, to fulfil the necessary responsibilities according to the requests and complaints received,
  • Drafting and filing internal and external correspondence and reports on administrative matters as required,
  • Follow and coordinate all work planning on a daily, weekly and monthly basis,
  • Ensuring coordination between units and other organizations in the Group, scheduling appointments,
  • Assisting in the preparation of meetings with relevant individuals, drafting meeting reports and submitting to relevant individuals / units,
  • Pre-screening incoming and outgoing documents, forwarding to senior manager and filing,
  • Assessing educational and administrative requests and complaints from students and academic staff, forwarding them to the relevant authorities, taking an active role in the process and finalizing them,
