PROF. DR. OMER KELES

Ömer Keleş, who was born in Ankara in 1967, graduated from Gazi University Mechanical Engineering Department in 1989 and started to work as a Research Assistant in the same department in 1990. He received his Master's degree from Gazi University Mechanical Engineering Department in 1992 and his Ph.D. degree in 1998. He was a visiting researcher at Northeastern University in 1995 (6 months) and at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1999 (2 months). He became Associate Professor in 2007 and Professor in 2013. He conducts academic studies in the departments of Machine Theory and Dynamics and Construction and Manufacturing.

Ömer Keleş, who was a member of the Faculty of Engineering at Gazi University, a member of the University Board of Directors and Senate, a member of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture at Gazi University (SCI-E), a member of the SANTEZ Evaluation Committee of the Ministry of Science, Industry, and Technology, a member of the Advisory and Evaluation Board of TÜBİTAK Science and Society programs, a member of the Advisory Board of TEYDEB, a member of the Advisory Board of the Undersecretariat of Defense Industry and a member of the Board of Directors of SSTEK A.Ş., served as the Dean of Gazi University Faculty of Engineering between 2016-2020. He has been a Member of the Board of Directors at TEI since June 2020.
