Prof. Dr. İbrahim KALIN

Prof. Dr. İbrahim KALIN, prior to his current duty, served as Chief Advisor to the Prime Minister and Deputy Undersecretary. He was the founding chairman of the Foundation for Political, Economic, and Social Research (SETA) from 2005 to 2009.  His academic studies focused on the tradition of Islamic thought and its relation to the modern world.  Prof. Dr. Kalin has published extensively on Islamic philosophy, Islam-Western relations, and Turkish foreign policy.

In addition to his duty as Presidential Spokesperson, he is also the Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Security and Foreign Policy Board.  He still lectures at Ibn Haldun University and is a Council Member of the Turkish-Japanese Science and Technology University.
